I have been a Sn. Director with my direct sales company for 16 years and have earned top ranks for sales and recruiting.

My best tips surround the principles:
1. CREATING AN INCREASE to someone else. I am in the cosmetics/skin care industry and I look for ways that I can INCREASE how my clients feel about themselves, how they see themselves when they look in the mirror, as well as how others see them. I want them to look and feel FLAT OUT AMAZING!
2. LISTEN to what they are telling me they need as well as for clues of what they might need/want but might be too embarrassed to tell me and then DELIVER the answers and products they need and want.

When you are able to truly LISTEN as well as provide INCREASE you will always be fabulous in sales as well as in team building.

SHORTCUT SECRETS TO BOOKING 3X THE PARTIES…

…Normally, I HATE using the term “secrets” when I’m trying to explain this system, because, let’s face it…

THERE ARE VERY FEW “SECRETS” OUT THERE THESE DAYS…

…But, when I talk to most party plan sellers–
even the MOST MOTIVATED–they are still relying on old, out-dated ideas…

“But my Director told me to hold recruiting meetings…”

“They said to tell everyone I know about my new business…”

“I’ll just recruit from my parties…”

………………….NO!………………….

Don’t fall prey to these ideas! They’ve been swirling around since the old AVON lady and women wore gloves!

Boost your leads for more recruits, parties, sales, referrals with PROVEN techniques that work …
and work every time!

Book More
Sell More
Recruit More
FASTER!

Why pay to learn?

There’s so much free stuff on the web these days, why in the world would you ever pay to learn?

Your recruiter, mentor, directors and other teammates can surely fill you in on what to do and how to build your business, so why bother getting it from someone you don’t even know? Well, the need for training is obvious, however the methods can be scattered and maybe even harmful.

For example, if you’ve got a mentor who continually preaches calling for appointments, yet you are shy or not willing to do that, how helpful is that training…really? The real trick to getting the good training and tips you need is to follow just a few simple rules?

1. Is the person training you current on trends and marketing?

2. Do you have a “sympatico” feeling about your business philosophies? In other words, do you feel you can build a strong internet business but your mentor stresses holding parties?

3. Is your mentor bringing you new ideas, tips and techniques regularly or does she start off with a blast and then you’ve noticed you haven’t heard from her in awhile? These are just a few things to consider when looking around for training and options for building your business.

Your best bet is to find training that you feel with give you hit-the-ground-running techniques to use fast, plus things you can start now to see larger results later.

And finally, there’s is SO MUCH information out there to wade through, you have to put a final value on your time and decide if it’s worth it to sift through it all or just get a program or two that you can use immediately.

I’ve done both…try to search out the freebies and plunked down money to get new idea and tips. Each has their merit, but one thing I will say is that at some point I had to realize that the bottom line was: I needed to do the work to make it happen!

As a WAHM, I sometimes struggle with guilt. I think many of us do. Are there enough hours in the day when you work from home and have home work too? When you try to bring order out of chaos at home, do you sometimes have guilt about the “things” in your life you would like to toss?

Here are sources of clutter clearing guilt: “But I paid good money for it.” “It
was a gift from…” “I inherited it from…” “It still has some use or life left
in it.” “It will come back in style again someday.” “I might use it again
someday.” We can tackle each of these clutter excuses one by one.

“But I paid good money for it.” Yes, if you say you did, you did. However,
whatever “it” is, it is currently stalling your life and reducing space for
other things because it isn’t paying rent. You give “it” space at a cost to you.
Maybe you clean and dust or maintain “it” too. Items like this are debits not
credits in life. Maybe it could be sold online, gifted to someone you know, or donated.

“It was a gift from…” Whoever gave it to you wanted to do something nice for you. The giver didn’t intend to slow you down with guilt. Appreciate and respect the gift giver by feeling free to honor their intent. Use or pass on gifts as you see fit.

“I inherited it from…” This hard. You are probably sad and miss the person who passed these items on to you. That sadness is in your heart. The memories are in your heart. The memories are not in your closet, basement, or attic.

Consider keeping one or a few representative samples of inherited items. Take photos and journal about the rest. Be sure to tell younger family members the stories behind the items that you keep so they will know why these are family treasures and treat them accordingly. Pass on the rest when you are ready. It is not unloving or disrespectful.

“It still has some use or life left in it.” Yes, it does! However, it is
draining the life from you. You don’t have the space, time, or energy to move on to new things or activities in your life because you continue to hang onto, store, and maintain “it.” Since it has some use or life in it still, pass it on, donate it, or sell it while it still does.

“It will come back in style again someday.” When? When will it come back in
style? What will you be doing then? What will you want your wardrobe to look like? Will it come back in style in exactly the same details that it has now? I don’t think so! Our bodies change. Our minds change. Styles certainly change.

The 80-20 rule of life and wardrobe says we wear 20 percent of our clothing (our favorites) 80 percent of the time. So, why is the other 80 percent crammed into our closet? Wouldn’t it be more fun to face a closet full of friends rather than enemies each morning?

“I might use it again someday.” This is the catchall remark for almost anything that is being hung onto past its current usefulness. It applies to everything above and anything else. Do you grow? Do you change over time? Consider that is is quite likely that you may not use it again someday. This is a trust issue of sorts. Trust that the Universe will provide what you need when you need it (or, keep in mind that if you really do have a future need for “it,” you could probably pick up another one relatively cheaply at a garage sale).

Hanging onto clutter can keep us stuck in a time warp. Consider tossing some of the clutter clearing excuses and free up space, time, and energy for calmness and order and for new adventures to come into your life. What clutter clearing excuses do you make?

What if, starting today, the word no didnt stop you? If you’re working your business and you get a yes you feel wonderful and when you get a no you feel bad, then you are going to feel bad a lot! Because, the truth is, there can be a lot of rejection out there.

If you are feeling bad about the nos you get, you might slow down, get discouraged; you might even quit altogether. And now all the learning and the time youve spent on your business will be for nothing.

So, the key question is, how do you start feeling good about hearing no? You can do it by reprogramming the way you think about it.

When you hear the word no, what does that no mean to you? How do you respond to it in your mind? What are the thoughts that you are attaching to it? If you are like most people, you probably feel like a failure or ashamed. We all learned at an early age that no meant we were bad and that we did something wrong!

You must think differently about the nos that you are hearing. The truth is that when you hear no you are taking action in your business and that is a very good thing! When you go out of your way to increase the number of nos you get, the yeses will show up at your door in greater quantities than you ever could have imagined!

So heres an exercise to do: Starting tomorrow, every time someone tells you no immediately say to yourself, Great I am one step closer to yes! At first its going to feel strange and you might feel like youre lying to yourself, but eventually you will find that hearing no loses some of the negative power over your emotions.

As kids we werent fazed at all when we heard no. We shrugged it off. You see this every day with your own kids. “No” is merely the opening dialog with you in the process to get what they want! They don’t take it personally in any way! But somewhere along the line, our natural sense of tenacity was lost. Or drummed out of us. Learn to treat “no” as merely a stepping stone on the path to success and you will enjoy great peace and productivity in your business!

How often do you stop to savor the moments of your day? Those little split
seconds of bliss that are sandwiched in between all that is on your to do list.

When you call a client or potential client do you savor the getting to know them piece of the conversation or do you focus primarily on the close of the sale. Do the times you spend with your kids get overwhelmed with thoughts of what you should be doing in your business? Does the time you spend in your business get overwhelmed with thoughts of being with your kids?

We all have them, those days that go by in a blur. Our focuses become about getting from point A, to point B, and then back again. Sometimes we stand in amazement at the end of the day wondering not only where the hours in the day went, but also wondering what we did with them. It is those little moments, the ones that bring a smile to our face, and the face of others that we really should be more focused on.

For those of you with little ones at home, you have been told I am sure more than once about how quickly they will grow. I am also here to tell you, that it is true. As my two children ages 17 and 19 get ready to embark onto new horizons 1,000s of miles from home in just 6 months, I think back fondly to the special moments that enriched their childhood.

Those moments of waiting for the elementary school bus with anticipation on both sides, shared hot chocolate after school and the ability to comfort them when they scraped their knees. The moments of laughter and amazement as they discovered new possibilities in their life from walking to tying their own shoelaces.

In our business world as entrepreneurs working from home, we are able to enjoy many more of those special moments with our kids as we watch our businesses grow as well. Sure, those moments of stress can overwhelm us when we question whether we made the right choice in working from home.

Then they are confirmed when in the span of just a few short hours we connect with an awesome client, make that big sale or discover a whole new aspect to our business and are there when our kids have a problem that only Mom can fix. Thats when we know that indeed we are on the right track.

As working Moms from home we have a fine line to stand between the line that nurtures our soul and the line that nurtures our career and bank account. Both can be as enjoyable as we choose. In recent months, I have been doing a lot of research with this growing workforce of entrepreneurial moms and have combined that with my 25 years working for myself – 10 of those working from home.

In doing so, I have come to a much clearer understanding as to how business sustainability and profitability is possible while holding down two full time (plus) jobs. Not an easy task to say the least. Obviously, the key lies in enjoying both and being successful at both our roles as Mom and Entrepreneur all the while, keeping our sanity.

The key is having a plan of action and working our plan, day in and day out. Leaving plenty of room to smell the flowers in the process. With a plan in hand it actually gives us more time to savor those special moments that are all around us. It keeps us from constantly second-guessing whether we are on our true path. Add to that plan a good healthy does of support form a group of like-minded individuals (such as victorycircles.com). They enable us to share our joys and our pain as we stay on track to adding more and more special moments to our lives and profitability to our bottom line.

Success Tips for WAHMs

I am going into my third year as a WAHM (work at home mom). I have a house,
three children (now 4, 7 and 8), a successful business online and in direct
sales, and I just finished writing a book. How do I do it?

1. Know Yourself. Everyone has their strong points and weak points. Before you
can start a business or work from home you need to do a personal evaluation. Me,
Im a perfectionist, which frequently slows me down because I feel Im not
prepared enough. But because I know this, I can spot when it is happening and
work through it. Knowing yourself is critical.

2. Get Help. If you want to be a WAHM, chances are you have kids at home at
least part time. Any successful business or person has had a lot of help along
the way. You have to know who is going to help and how. Rotating play dates or
daycare? Carpooling? Babysitters? Support with running the business? I live
across the street from my parents, my husband is my tech guy, and my close
friend does my business finances. I couldnt do it without them.

3. Schedule It. Children will get sick, and so will help. If you have a regular,
consistent schedule, even eight hours a week, you can get a lot done. And if you
are booking parties, you need your available times already blocked out. My
calendar is my life, and always with me (never know when someone will schedule a
party or meeting), and I rely on two hour time blocks.

4. Make your Goal(s). Why are you doing this? What is success to you? What are
you willing to sacrifice? How fast do you want your business to grow? How much
money do you want to make? Making goals keeps you focused, helps you plan, gets
you to success, even on a part-time basis. I work around a number of
ever-changing schedules, but my goals keep me focused.

5. Patience, Persistence and Networking. Sometimes we fail because we dont see
the payoff around the corner. Remember the turtle; slow and steady wins the
race. How do your grow your business? One person at a time, one event at a time.
Your customers keep you in business. Good customer service and relations is the
cornerstone to growth.

Women want to share the good things in their life with
friends and family, and you and your business should be one of those good
things. Me, I want to do everything, but I know I have to pick the events I
believe are the most important, and sometimes I have to say no because I just
dont have the time. Better to do a job well.

Keep in mind why you want to be a WAHM: Your family. Dont lose yourself in your
business. It may be hard at times, but be patient and persistent. You are all
worth it.

Good luck to you, your family, and your business!
